Wintrust announces new leadership at Schaumburg Bank & Trust

 

Wintrust announced its appointment of Christopher Woelffer as CEO and Ursula Moncau as president of Schaumburg Bank & Trust, a member of the Wintrust Community Bank family.

Prior to joining Wintrust, Woelffer was president and CEO of STC Capital Bank in St. Charles, Illinois, a bank he helped organize and lead since 2006. He also has leadership experience at both BMO Harris and LaSalle Bank.  

A graduate of Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota with a degree in finance, Woelffer also earned a graduate banking degree from the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking. As a resident of St. Charles, he is currently the president of St. Charles Business Alliance, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing St. Charles’ economy by promoting tourism and consumer business.

Moncau has been with Wintrust for 13 years and has played a vital role on Schaumburg Bank & Trust’s leadership team. As head of the Commercial Real Estate Group in the northwest hub, she focuses on new business development for clients throughout the Chicagoland area. She is also a member of the Wintrust Women’s Leadership Council.

Prior to joining the company, Ursula spent 10 years in commercial banking at JPMorgan Chase and Charter One Bank. She earned her undergraduate degree in finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In 2006, she earned her MBA from the University of Chicago with concentrations in entrepreneurship and accounting. Moncau serves on the board of the Chicago Architecture Center and resides in Bartlett.
